History

Triggered by increasing competitive and cost pressures in the wake of globalisation, LUKAS pursued an aggressive and rapid internationalisation strategy. In 2001, the company was introduced by our first specialised sales partner in Latin America to industrial customers who are concerned with process optimisation, cost reduction, increased productivity and the use of more convenient and safer tools and abrasives.

LUKAS carbide burrs are manufactured on modern CNC grinding machines using high quality carbide grades - ensuring maximum manufacturing accuracy, duplication of cutting angle, tooth form and helix.

LUKAS mounted points, efficient and professional sanding


LUKAS mounted points are high-quality grinding tools with a long service life and high removal rate during grinding and are used, for example, for economical and effective rough machining, plastering, weld seam preparation and finishing or deburring. We offer mounted points of different shapes, dimensions and qualities to ensure that you always work with exactly the right tool when grinding - whether for fine or rough machining. LUKAS mounted points are designed and developed for grinding a wide variety of materials (steel, cast steel, tool steels, cast iron, aluminium alloys, titanium and nickel alloys, plastic, glass, ceramics, etc.).

Whether you just want to give your product the right shine or need to achieve defined technical surface characteristics: There are many good reasons to process a workpiece with polishing tools from LUKAS.


In the automotive, pump and turbine construction and aerospace industries, for example, there are many sealing surfaces and fits that need to be produced with the utmost precision to ensure the end result is just right. Smoothly polished surfaces in the food and pharmaceutical industries guarantee hygienically clean working conditions. In tool and mould making, the mould surfaces are polished to a mirror finish and the perfect result is transferred to the end product with every moulding.


Due to the growing importance of finishing, LUKAS has developed a diverse range of polishing tools made from different raw materials, different grit combinations and in several degrees of hardness. LUKAS polishing tools are categorised into groups P1 to P7, depending on their intended use. These tools are available in the form of polishing discs, polishing pins and polishing rods for the various applications. You will find an overview in the diagram on the following page.

Our flexible sanding and polishing tools are made from abrasive cloth and non-woven abrasive cloth of selected qualities. They consist of a flexible backing coated with abrasive grit.


Backing used: Fabric, polyester, fleece, fibre

Grain qualities used: Aluminium oxide (NK), silicon carbide (SIC), zirconium corundum (ZK), ceramic (Ceramic)


We offer our flexible grinding and polishing tools in a wide range of shapes and dimensions. The range of applications extends from high chip removal to achieving the finest surfaces.

Cutting discs are specialists for powerful cuts: they work their way quickly through any material. Cutting tools from LUKAS are precisely customised for use in different materials and on hand-held or stationary machines. They all achieve maximum performance and a long service life.


The LUKAS range includes suitable cutting discs for steel and stainless steel, cast iron and light metal as well as for bricks, tiles and other building materials. In addition to types for hand-held angle grinders, cut-off wheels are also available for stationary machine tools.
