Industrial mechanic (m/f/d)

If you have a high level of technical understanding and manual dexterity, this apprenticeship at LUKAS is just right for you. As an industrial mechanic, you will ensure that the machines and production systems are ready for operation. You will manufacture machine components and assemblies, which you will install on technical systems or machines and then put into operation. You will also be responsible for maintaining and servicing the systems, determining the causes of faults and preparing the right spare parts for repairs, among other things.

CUTTING MECHANIC (m/f/d)

Are you meticulousand very precise? Do you have a good technical understanding and are you skilful? Then an apprenticeship as a cutting machine operator is just right for you. During your training, you will learn how to manufacture a wide variety of components. You will select the right tool, such as a turning tool and testing equipment, or use a computer-controlled CNC machine that you have programmed yourself. You will use these tools to produce the components to an accuracy of a hundredth of a millimetre and check their functionality.

CONSTRUCTION MECHANIC (m/f/d)

Are you careful and skilful with your hands? Do you have good spatial awareness and a good technical understanding? Then training as a construction mechanic is just right for you. During your apprenticeship, you will produce all kinds of metal constructions. This includes the production of frames, panelling and protective equipment as well as the repair/maintenance of machine components. Other tasks include cutting, edging, bending and drilling sheet metal on controlled and conventional machines. Soldering and welding components will also be no problem for you after your training.

Frequently asked questions

Training at LUKAS

Our application process always begins in the middle/end of the summer holidays of the current year for the following training year.

No! As our aim is to train people for ourselves, we look at the areas in which we might have a need after the relevant training period before we advertise. On this basis, we select the number and type of training places each year.

All incoming applications are collected and then scrutinised by the relevant trainers. A decision is then made as to whether the candidate is a good fit for LUKAS and whether we would like to get to know him/her in a personal interview. In some training occupations, there may also be a short recruitment test.

As the application process always takes some time, we start looking for trainees for the following year after the summer holidays. So it's just right to start looking for an apprenticeship and sending out applications a year before leaving school.

A trial period of 4 months is generally agreed at the start of an apprenticeship. This period is used to assess the co-operation and the choice of profession. If there is a desire to terminate the contract after the probationary period, an appropriate solution will be sought together.

This is different for each training occupation. We have listed the most important requirements for each training occupation at LUKAS here in our training world.

Yes, the probationary period during training is 4 months. This time is helpful for both the trainee and the company to see whether working together works well and whether the career choice was the right one.

We regularly take part in training fairs where you have the opportunity to talk to trainees about training at our stand.
