Energytechnology

For composite materials, gear components and heavy-duty machining

Large composite materials, robust metal components and demanding machining tasks: LUKAS-ERZETT offers the right tool solutions for this.

For new energies

When GRP, CFRP and large components require clean machining

In energy technology, large components made of GRP and CFRP laminates are just as typical as the machining of gear components, cast housings and steel materials. Powerful roughing, even stock removal and clean surfaces are particularly important for wind turbine blades. At the same time, metal components must be precisely reworked. LUKAS-ERZETT offers tools that are customised to the requirements of power generation and environmental technology.

For GRP, CFRP and large surfaces

Grinding and roughing tools for composite materials and high stock removal

Sanding large blades made of GRP and CFRP laminates is one of the most demanding machining tasks in energy technology. The abrasive flap disc V2 Power in the aluminium version is equipped with silicon carbide as abrasive grain and is particularly suitable for fibre composites such as CFRP and GFRP. Its flap arrangement and the high density of abrasive grains in the outer area ensure high removal rates and a long service life. Powerful roughing is often required before sanding. The semi-flexible SHF roughing disc offers a suitable solution for this. With its dense silicon carbide coating, it is suitable for the forced removal of CFRP, GFRP and other fibre composite materials.

For gearboxes, cast housings and cutting work

Suitable tools for milling work and clean cuts in composite and cast materials

Many different types of burrs are used in the construction of gearboxes for wind energy and in the machining of housings and metal components. For example, the Z7 Steel burr with medium cross serration is suitable for steel materials, while the Cast type is designed for cast iron housings. Different head shapes and coatings make it possible to adapt the tool specifically to the material and machining task. If GRP materials need to be cut, the VDC diamond cutting disc is a proven solution. With its super-hard cutting edges, it achieves clean cuts in fibre-reinforced plastics and is also suitable for cast materials.
