Tool solutions for fettling, cutting and finishing

High-quality tools - designed for high stock removal, smooth running and economical processes in the foundry.

When sprues, burrs and imperfections need to be removed quickly

For resilient cast machining

In the foundry, a significant part of the value creation process only begins after casting. Sprues, risers, burrs, casting skin and defects must be safely removed, surfaces smoothed and components prepared for further processing. It is precisely these work steps that require tools that work reliably under high loads and can be easily guided even in hard-to-reach places. LUKAS-ERZETT offers tool solutions that are designed for cast materials, high removal rates and controllable machining in daily practice.

For cleaning and deburring

High stock removal and smooth running when machining cast materials

The fettling of cast parts often involves powerful machining under demanding conditions. Burrs, sprues and risers must be removed quickly, blowholes ground out and repair welds reworked. The Cast burrs from LUKAS-ERZETT have been specially developed for these tasks. Their bevelled teeth enable high stock removal rates with smooth tool guidance. The mounted points from the HK and MK series are also available for fettling, smoothing and grinding cast materials. Their special grit mixtures and resistant bonds are matched to cast iron and support even, energy-saving work even under high loads.

For cutting and grinding

Tool solutions for grey cast iron, cast iron pipes and typical cutting tasks in the foundry

Productivity and stability are also important when cutting cast iron components. The VDC diamond cutting disc was specially developed for cutting grey cast iron and is also suitable for GRP and ore. It works aggressively, achieves a long service life and generates very little heat. The T41/T42 cutting disc is ideal for universal cutting tasks in the foundry. Among other things, it is used for cutting off risers and sprues as well as for removing defects. Typical processing steps in the foundry can be realised with tools that are designed for robust performance and economical use.
