Machinery and plantengineering

For heavy-duty machining in mechanical and plant engineering

In mechanical and plant engineering, grinding and milling tools that reliably combine high removal rates, precise machining and clean results are in demand.

For precision machines

When weld seams, radii and stainless steel demand clean results

In mechanical and plant engineering, the machining spectrum ranges from large steel surfaces to internal threads, gaps, recesses and precise milling tasks. Cast iron, stainless steel and tempered steels, among others, are processed, which often require specially adapted tools. Depending on the application, high stock removal, cool grinding, strong cutting action or clean precision work are required. LUKAS-ERZETT offers tools that are customised to the requirements of this industry.

For large surfaces and hard steel

Proven tools for high stock removal and heavy-duty machining

High stock removal rates are required when grinding large steel surfaces. The V2 Power Heavy Duty abrasive flap disc shows its strengths particularly on tempered steels, scale surfaces, coated steels and nickel alloys. Its ceramic abrasive coating ensures cool grinding and is reinforced at the back. Burrs Z4 made of carbide are particularly suitable for milling work in mechanical and plant engineering. With their cross-cut teeth, they achieve a strong cutting effect, especially in hard materials. Different head shapes and diameters make it possible to select the right tool for the specific machining task.

For stainless steel and precision work

Suitable solutions for internal contours, stainless steels and belt grinding

The SFI abrasive cloth fan is a tried-and-tested solution for hard-to-reach areas. Screwed onto a long shaft, it can be used to easily sand internal threads, gaps and recesses. The fan is suitable for smoothing, cleaning, deburring, derusting as well as bevelling and effect grinding. The NK-BA soft mounted point is designed for stainless steels and achieves good removal rates even on stainless steels that tend to smear, while grinding comparatively cool. Free from iron, sulphur and halogens, it helps to prevent undesirable chemical changes in the contact zone. If difficult-to-machine metals are processed using belt sanding, the SBZY Z-Power cylindrical abrasive belt is the right choice. It is suitable for cleaning, light deburring as well as surface and contour grinding on forged steel, high-temperature steels or titanium alloys.
